Chapter 3: The Most Powerful Man in Morning Light

An elder, clad in official robes, appeared in a palanquin carried by four bearers, indicating his high status as a yangban.

"My greetings, Prime Minister."

Mongryong bowed respectfully, but the elder barely acknowledged him. What could this mean? Are they on bad terms?

Suddenly, the elder's eyes fell upon the traveler. Without warning, he commanded his escort warrior, Won Baek, to duel the traveler. It seems that being the Prime Minister gives him the liberty to do as he pleases. However, the traveler easily triumphed.

"Hahaha. So, the rumors were true. No wonder you bested Duksoo and Iksoon. Hahaha."

He continued on his way as if nothing had happened. Mongryong then revealed that the elder's name is Jang Daeseung. Wait, Jang Daeseung? Could it be? Yes, he is Jang Iksoon's father. As the traveler was learning about how terrible Jang Daeseung is, suddenly...

"The crown has fallen! The crown has fallen! The crown has fallen!"
