With my beloved wife and our beautiful daughter, who bore the best of both of us, I began to slowly forget the comrades left behind in Hadum and Elvia.

One restless night, as I tossed and turned, unable to find sleep, a voice from decades, nay, centuries past, whispered to me ever so faintly. The explosion at Cron Castle, long ago—it was not a failure, but a beginning. For a moment, fear gripped me, my body trembling uncontrollably, my mind a blank slate.
