I have been receiving letters from the students who traveled to the Land of the Morning Light through Nampo. From what they have written, the combat lessons seem to have paid off, and everyone appears to be safe. I was so pleased that I gathered the letters and started reading them beside Professor Cliff. He must be proud as well, judging by how often he clears his throat.

One letter that stood out described the defeat of a massive monster. It was written in remarkable detail, though some of the language used in the Land of the Morning Light was mixed in, so I could not understand all of it.

It said that a being once revered as a guardian deity had fallen to corruption and begun harming the people. A group of students had gone to subjugate it. I panicked as soon as I read that they had gone after it, but the very next line said they had already succeeded, which came as a great relief.

Perhaps the students have figured out what I am like by now. These days, they seem to write only after everything has already been resolved.
