Upon my return, the sun had already passed its zenith, and the farmers were deep in their harvest. I had not yet partaken in any midday sustenance and found myself famished.

In Byeot County, there stood three wooden gazebos, open to the elements, where, as time wore on, people began to gather. Burdened by the weight of a past mistake, I considered fleeing. But instead, they approached with generous offerings of food, inviting me to join their repast.

They mentioned that this was their customary time for a meal. Observing the gathered folk, their faces alight with happiness, I saw that the simple act of sharing food brought them great joy.
