Scouting Log - Entry One

A suspicious device has been discovered in Tenebraum. As the one with the most experience exploring ruins, I was assigned to investigate it. They also assigned me a partner. Or rather... a hatchling to babysit.

The rookie couldn't even stand straight and avoided my gaze entirely. As expected, the moment we left base, he was wound tight as a drawn bowstring. By the time we arrived, he collapsed from exhaustion. And now I'm stuck playing caretaker for this hopeless case.

The device itself appears to be some kind of container, perhaps housing an artifact or a record. But as for how to open it, I can only speculate. Further research will be necessary.
