The alcohol is instilled with unknown powers.
It is customary for the people of Drieghan to offer alcohol to the altar when they pray. This alcohol is made simply by fermenting barley, but the people of Drieghan firmly believe that once it is offered to the altar, it becomes sacred and should not be touched by anyone.
According to some records, there have been stories of people who have been cursed after drinking this alcohol.
