A familiar power emanates from the shining device ahead. It resembles the instruments found in Tarif. Why... why do I sense that power here?

The villagers who despised me... smiling in daylight, whispering cruelty in darkness. They mocked my failures. They claimed I had already been devoured by the Black Spirit. I fled because I feared they would kill me if I remained.

Why must I find traces of that village here? Why can I not escape it? Why?
